Frequently asked questions
Common questions about Emailz — pricing, mailboxes, and what’s included.
What is Emailz?
Emailz is a business email hosting platform that provides mailboxes, aliases, and forwarders on emailz.ca, with webmail, calendar, contacts, spam filtering, and IMAP/POP3/SMTP access.
Is Emailz live yet?
No. Emailz is being built in phases. The public website, account authentication, and plan catalogue exist today; mailbox provisioning and billing arrive in later phases.
How does pricing work?
Plans are billed monthly or yearly. Pricing is served live from the backend plan catalogue — it is not hard-coded on the website. See the pricing page for current tiers and a side-by-side comparison.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. Each tier is available on a monthly or yearly billing cycle. Yearly billing is offered at a discount relative to twelve monthly payments.
What email address do I get?
A mailbox on emailz.ca — yourname@emailz.ca. There’s no domain to buy and nothing to configure; the mailbox is active as soon as your plan is.
Can I use my own domain instead?
Not currently. Emailz provisions mailboxes on emailz.ca only. If that changes, it’ll be announced here first.
Can I use my own email client?
Yes. Mailboxes support standard IMAP, POP3, and SMTP, so clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, and Apple Mail can connect.
What is included at launch versus coming soon?
At launch: mailboxes on emailz.ca, webmail, spam and virus filtering, IMAP/POP3/SMTP, aliases, and forwarders. Coming soon: calendar, contacts, priority support, and self-service billing.
How do I get help?
Use the contact page to send a message. Emailz does not yet offer live support channels; those arrive as the service matures.
Still have a question?
Send us a message and we’ll get back to you as the service matures.
